DJ Johnrey
Jonry Enoc, also known as DJ Johnrey, is a Filipino Budots music producer and DJ. His journey into DJing began in 2013, while working at Fastfab Corp. at the age of 27. Self-taught through FL Studio (formerly Fruity Loops), he developed his own style of high-energy remixes and dance beats inspired by Filipino street party culture. He is the founder of Masbate Mix Club, where he continues to produce Budots remixes and support local DJ talent. In December 2023, DJ Johnrey released his remix titled "Emergency 911 Budots" on YouTube. The track quickly went viral in the Philippines, launching the “Dasmagi” dance challenge — a campaign that also promoted a local grocery store brand. The remix took over TikTok and Instagram, with thousands of users posting outfit transitions and dance content. Within a month, Emergency 911 Budots became a global sensation, crossing international social media platforms and sparking interest in the Budots genre worldwide. The remix's popularity earned a mention on Wikipedia, further solidifying DJ Johnrey’s impact on the global dance music scene. As of 2024, DJ Johnrey continues to release his own Budots tracks independently through platforms like Spotify, YouTube Music, and TikTok, growing his international audience and representing the vibrant sound of Filipino electronic dance music.
