SWARM, known by his friends as Brandon Thomas Carroll, started carving his sonically-destructive path in 2018 after recovering from nearly a decade of struggling with anorexia. In 2023, Brandon explained in an interview with Forbes how this difficult experience shaped not only who he is today, but also the dark tone and mental health-focused message of SWARM’s musical vision.
His hyper-aggressive brand of cinematic electronic music remains firmly rooted in the realm of Industrial EDM while taking listeners on an ever-evolving journey through rock, metal, and apocalyptic filmscore.
SWARM wields this same intensity in the live space - whether playing for 5 or 5,000 people, he gives his performances every ounce of energy he has. With a stage presence akin to the most electric frontmen in the business and a sonic experience that levels dance floors, SWARM's enigmatic performances leave lasting impressions on all those who bear witness.
Carroll is primarily an independent artist, painstakingly exercising his creative freedom while amassing well over 40 million global streams of his self-released discography alone. His music has been licensed for Battle Royale juggernaut, Fortnite, and most recently featured in an episode of CSI: Las Vegas.
SWARM is currently finishing his debut album, scheduled for 2024.
