MJ Cole is a composer, producer, and live artist shaping UK music from club culture to film scoring. A central architect of 2-step UK Garage, his breakthrough "Sincere" was one of the first garage records to break the UK Top 40 — but rather than defining a peak, it marked the start of a career built on evolution. In 2025, he marked 25 years of Sincere with landmark performances at Glastonbury, a headline slot at We Out Here Festival, and a sold-out KOKO show — joined by Elisabeth Troy, AJ Tracey, Katy B, Becky Hill, Eliza Rose, Fallacy, and Vula. His production and remix credits span Stormzy, Dizzee Rascal, Jorja Smith, Sammy Virji, and Mary J. Blige. In 2020, MJ Cole presents Madrugada signalled a move into orchestral composition. Most recently, he scored The Disciple, premiering at Sundance. New music continues through his imprint 892 Recordings. A forward-looking artist — his work doesn't look back; it builds outward.
