Shar S (Born 6 May Patiala, Punjab) is a Punjabi/Indian Singer, Songwriter, Rapper, and music Director From California USA. Shar S rose to fame in 2011 after releasing “Akhiyaan” as a songwriter & Rapper. This was the first Punjabi song to ever have Punjabi Urban singing style & Punjabi Rap into one soundtrack. This record set itself apart from anything that was out at the time which is why it became big quickly among young youth. Since then he has been involved in the music scene. Due to his background in Cinematography, he started shooting his own music videos which led to him being noticed not only for his Singing/Rapping but also for his Video skills. Shar S is credited for popularizing the Urban hip-hop sound. Some of his most popular soundtracks are “Puchi Na”, “Akhiyaan”, “Hollywood Girl”, and “High Definition”.
