Malika Ferguson, professionally known as Malika (formerly Meleka), is a singer and songwriter from London. She describes her sound as a blend of UK Soul with hip hop drums, delivering relatable lyrics about relationships, life lessons, and the journey of becoming a woman from a girl. She rose to prominence during the UK funky era with her breakout single “Go,” especially the Crazy Cousinz remix, now regarded as one of the genre’s most recognisable records. Raised in North West London within a deeply musical family, Malika began singing at a young age and developed her craft surrounded by the city’s Black British music culture. Malika has worked independently throughout her career, contributing vocals and songwriting to releases with Nathan Dawe, Rita Ora, Snakehips, Sam Feldt, SG Lewis, Basement Jaxx, and more.
