Jardine Cherelle Legere, known artistically as Jadel Legere, is an independent recording artist, singer, songwriter, pianist, and proud mother from Trinidad & Tobago. Fusing Soca, R&B, Dancehall, and Afropop, she has become one of the most exciting female voices in Caribbean music. Her passion began at nine, singing in school and church choirs before migrating to the U.S., where she joined Caribbean bands Surface and Traffik in 2011. By 2014, she co-wrote Machel Montano’s hit Haunted with Kernal Roberts. Jadel’s breakthrough came in 2016 with her Chutney Soca hit All of It, which won the Carib Breakout Artiste Award and launched her on tour across Europe. She went on to release her 2020 debut album Call Me Jadel. Her 2021 single Deserve It All became her most streamed track, surpassing 6 million plays and landing on BET Jams and MTV. Since then, Jadel has delivered hits including Yuh Man, Up In D Party, Shake Up (feat. Demarco), and Addictive (with Charly Black). She has performed at major festivals and tours worldwide—from New York to London, Singapore, and Japan—sharing stages with Kes, Destra, and Nailah Blackman. In 2025, she scored four Carnival hits—Jam Somebody, Meh Darlin, Bubbling Champion (with DJ Private Ryan), and Fitness (with Trinidad Killa)—while earning two Caribbean Music Award nominations. Known for her powerful vocals, commanding stage presence, and authentic storytelling, Jadel Legere continues to carry the sound of Trinidad & Tobago to the world.
