Edwin F Vázquez Vega from Guayama, Puerto Rico, artistically known as Maldy, rose to prominence in the 2000’s as a member of the iconic duo, Plan B also known as Chencho y Maldy Formed with his cousin, Chencho Corleone, their early years they housed an authentic perreo, sound that remains popular today. In 2002 they released their first studio album, “El Mundo del Plan B: Los Que la Montan'', which featured collaborations with Daddy Yankee. Playing a critical role in their career was their sophomore album, “House of Pleasure”, featuring two of their biggest hits “Si No Le Contesto” and “Es Un Secreto.” Both tracks were a worldwide phenomenon, with “Si No Le Contesto” peaking at #37 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart. Also serving as a testimony to Plan B’s status as urban music’s most influential artists is their final studio album “Love & Sex” which reached #2 on the U.S Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. Featuring collaborations with Yandel, Tego Calderon, Alexis y Fido, J Alvarez, and Zion & Lennox, the album included hit singles that made their way onto the top of the Billboard charts, them being “Candy,” “Fanatica Sensual,” and “Mi Vecinita.”
