Rekoil Chafe

Born and bred in Vikhroli and now residing in Kalyan, Rekoil is a multi-disciplinary artist and audio engineer and is recognized as one of Mumbai's veteran music producers. Coming from a Ambedkarite Buddhist family he often addresses issues that his Community, Independent Artists & Freelancers face through bars, schemes and satirical bits. Rekoil's music blends conscious hip-hop, trap, and drill, expertly amalgamating these styles with traditional Indian musical elements and narrative abilities while rapping proficiently in English, Hindi, and Marathi. Rekoil helped plan and organize some of India's first Hip-Hop events, making a vital contribution to the scene's growth. He has produced and engineered for a number of prominent Indian Hip Hop artists, including MTV Hustle's Gravity, Shah Rule from the Gully Gang and Gully Boy Movie rosters, Farhan Khan, Kidshot, Fenifina, Kr$na, KINARI and international artists such as Snipe Slugz and the Fist Club Conglomerate based in New York.
