Phix, a singer and rapper from Texas, has had recent success with the release of his popular single "UNDERNEATH". With a comparable sound to artists such as Kid Laroi, NF, and Machine Gun Kelly.. there is a plethora of melodious choruses and colorful bar delivery when it comes to his music. Having just released "POLAROID" with the suspense that was built from Tik-Tok and other short-form content, his career catapulted his following in recent months. He is from the city of Lubbock, Texas which is home to Texas Tech University. A few stepping stones worth mentioning in regards to Phix's career are nothing short of remarkable for being an independent artist. From being featured on Worldstarhiphop's front page for his collaboration with previous signee to Cash Money Records, Caskey, to performing all over the United States with a multitude of artists.
From the early age of 17, Phix began his journey creating hip-hop music with long-time friend Marlon Williams. The first song he ever recorded was a remix to Drake's song "Fear" around 2008. This lead to teaching himself how to mix, setup a recording space, and ultimately start becoming an independent artist. Fast foward into the mid 2000s and he has created a few mixtapes and solo projects that were uploaded to Datpiff and Soundcloud. A lot of influence early on in his creative development was from G-Eazy and his project "The Tipping Point", to Logic's "Young Sinatra" mixtapes.
