Born in Lagos, Nigeria in the 90s, THEHONESTGUY is making a profound impact on the R&B/Soul space. Currently based between Montreal and Toronto, he blends melody and groove to embody the spirit and sound of R&B and funk, creating what he calls “FUNKY SOUL.” With three projects released to date, THEHONESTGUY has captured audiences worldwide. His most recent project, "How To Make Love," earned him a JUNO Award nomination for Best Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year in 2023. THEHONESTGUY is now preparing to release his highly anticipated fourth EP, "Velvet Soul: Side B." He is also slated to perform at the Montreal Jazz Fest on July 5th, 2024.
