Tru Genesis, aka Andrew Piland, is a producer and multi-instrumentalist, residing in Nashville, TN, whose art is blending Pop, Hip Hop, and Cinematic flare to his music. His primary outlet is creating music for television, commercials, and other media outlets. Having a wide range of influences from Robert Glasper, Ludwig Goransson, and Chainsmokers, He takes loving all genres to unique heights.
Native to the east coast of Virginia, Tru Genesis started his music journey early on and began crafting music for different iterations of bands and multiple artists. Finally he brought his skills to Nashville where he began producing and collaborating with such artists as Connor Flanagan, DJ Form, and Darius Mines. In 2019, he signed on as a contributor to Soundstripe where his repertoire grew and landed major placements such as “Shaq Life” on TNT and “Million Dollar House Hunters” on HGTV.
Currently, Tru Genesis has been able to collaborate with some heavy hitters in the synch game such as Tina Parol and Easy McCoy on tracks such as “Always On Go.” His sound has matured to a point where you can expect the occasional pop tune like “Top Down” with Keytarius isn’t too much of a stretch from the cinematic Hip Hop explosion known as “Know My Name” featuring Corinne and Sean Be.
