Different sounds reflect the many sides of award-winning Ontario singer, songwriter, and producer Billy Raffoul. In one breath, he’ll bust down the door with a riff-powered rock ‘n’ roll anthem. In the next, he’ll introspectively recall a formative memory as his delivery barely breaks a whisper atop acoustic guitar. One song will make you think, and another will make dance. The music showcases his spirit from every angle on his 2023 full-length For All These Years, crafted with trusted creative confidants Justin Zuccato and Mike Crossey. Hailing from the small town of Leamington, Billy grabbed a guitar after watching his dad, Jody Raffoul, captivate audiences as a professional musician. He emerged in 2017 with his first single “Driver,” followed by the 1975 EP, The Running Wild EP, Live In June, and his 2020 full-length LP, A Few More Hours at YYZ. This endeared him to audiences and tastemakers with over 100 million total streams including praise from Paste, American Songwriter, Paste, Billboard, and more. He’s shined on stage, sharing bills with Kings of Leon, Phoenix, and X Ambassadors to name a few. He also picked up the 2021 SOCAN Songwriting Prize for “Western Skies” and the 2023 INDIES “Song of the Year” for “We Could Get High.” In the end, listening might just be the best way to get to know every facet of Billy Raffoul.
