Claudia Liz is an independent Retro Soul singer-songwriter who has recorded original songs in many genres, including Mexican Rancheras and titles that have been placed in TV and Film. Her heart lies in creating original songs that follow in the musical styles of 60’s and 70’s Soul, Latin Soul, and Lowrider Oldies, sometimes referred to now as Souldies. Lyrics about love and heartbreak are at the center of her songwriting. Claudia Liz has featured with Baby Bash, Lil Rob, MC Magic, Kid Frost and Frankie J. In July 2022, Claudia Liz released her first music video single titled Still In Love featuring Chicano Rap legend, and fellow San Diego-raised artist, Lil Rob. Her sound, as showcased on this track, is a blend of old Soul and R&B, but with a modern feel. Drum-driven arrangement by Hip-Hop producer Shysti, and infectious grooves by bass player Angel Couvertier-Lopez, make the song smooth and warm, but still rough enough to slap when cruising the boulevard.
