Starface
Rachel Edwards more popularly known as Starface is an upcoming dancehall artiste. Edwards grew up in the parish of Kingston, more specifically Denham Town. It was there she developed the passion for music, her first love. Starface have been actively involved in music for a year professionally, but has loved music from she knew herself .She got the name Starface from close friends because she had a shining personality and the desire to be a leader from an early age. Starface started off by makings beats and she would sing other artistes’ songs and entertain her family at home and friends in her community. She recalls her first professional recording as nerve-racking but when she got the hang of it the engineer was astounded as she sounded like she has been recording for some time now. So far Starface has recorded with dancehall’s finest, Beenie Man on a riddim called “Ride Along” produced by Konsequence Muzik in 2015. She has also done singles like “Tun up the Love,” “Love John,” “Hold My Man” and “Naah Lef.” Music to Starface is a way of life and she describes her music as reality music. She is a strong lyricist and songwriter and is driven only by the desire to be successful in the business. Starface is very enthusiastic about her music and wants it to reach every corner of the globe. She intends to stamp an indelible mark in the dancehall scene with her strong lyrical content, raw talent and shining personality.
