Marina Maximilian Blumin was born in 1987 in Ukraine to Igor and Alla, a piano teacher. Growing up in Israel, Marina began performing in festivals at the age of 10, and by her early teens began headlining shows in local jazz clubs. Marina first became a household name following her success in “A Star is Born”, Israel’s version of American Idol.
In 2014 Marina released her debut album in English, Step Into My World, which reached PLATINUM status. Later that year Marina was awarded "Woman of the Year in Music" by GLGLZ, Israel's leading radio station, and in 2016 she was proclaimed "Woman of the Year" by Israeli TV Channel 9, for her contribution to the advancement of Russian culture in Israel.
In 2021, Marina signed with the US/UK-based label “AntiFragile” and after 3 Hebrew albums, on Dec. 22, she released her 2nd English album "Late Bloomer".
Marina is also the creator of the Maximilian Festival, an innovative cultural event and the first of its kind in Israel. It combines artists and arts from various schools of thought, at a standard that has never been seen before. Every year the event brings over 4,000 spectators and stands out in the local landscape along with Marina's contribution as a creator and curator of artistic content in Israel.
Besides her prolific music career, Marina is also an actress and had many leading roles in local & int. TV series, including "Fauda" (Netflix) & "Devils" (Sky Network).
