AJR is an American pop band founded by brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met, collectively a trio of vocalists, multi-instrumentalists, and songwriters. In the 2010s and the 2020s, the cross-genre trio of the 21st century in music has recorded over 100 songs and a live album and released five studio albums on various record labels along with an indie label on behalf of AJR.
Born in New York City, where the brothers primarily focused on busking, tap dancing, and singing covers in their preteen years, they started those in 2005 and slowly shifted toward songwriting. After AJR wrote "I'm Ready" and linked the song on Twitter in 2012, Australian singer and songwriter Sia supported and referred them to her talent management network in the music industry, in turn, a record label named AJR Productions was formed, and the song has become their first pop radio platinum single in both Australia and America. AJR has released four indie pop extended plays: the polyonymous EP—6foot1, or the reissue I'm Ready EP; Infinity; and the serial antonymous EPs—What Everyone's Thinking and What No One's Thinking thus far.
