AJR is an American pop band founded by brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met, collectively a trio of vocalists, multi-instrumentalists, and songwriters. In the 2010s and the early 2020s, the cross-genre trio of the 21st century in music has recorded over 100 songs and released five studio albums on various record labels along with their indie label. Born in New York City, where the brothers primarily focused on busking, tap dancing, and singing covers in their preteen years, they started in 2005 and slowly shifted toward songwriting. After AJR wrote "I'm Ready" and promoted the song on Twitter in 2012, Australian singer and songwriter Sia supported and referred them to her talent management network in the music industry, in turn, a record label named AJR Productions was formed, and the song has become their first pop radio platinum single in both Australia and America. AJR has released three more indie pop EPs—Infinity, What Everyone's Thinking, and What No One's Thinking —since the song was released on 6foot1 as well as that of the reissue I'm Ready EP.
