Juan Pablo Torrez
Born in Cali, Colombia, but now living in Medellín, Colombia, Juan Pablo Torrez fell in love of electronic music at a very short age with progressive trance music, but it was not until his 18 years old that he took his love for this music to the decks. Afterwards, highly influenced by progressive, trance and techno sounds of that time, Juan Pablo made his style very versatile which allowed him to surf between genres and that he maintains currently. This has taken him to perform in several countries, hold plenty of club residencies as well as performed in major and massive events such as Summerland Festival (Colombia), DayDreaming Festival (Hungary), Bloque Festival (Greece) and lately on the Burning Man Dusty's Multiverse Over the years, he has shared the spotlight with many of dance music’s greatest artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha, Hosh, Matador, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, and countless others. He has been invited to important radioshows and live streaming sets such as the infamous Tony McGuinness from Above & Beyond’s Deep Set, Shai T’s Circulation radioshow, among others. To date, Juan Pablo Torrez has released music on The Soundgarden, Balance, Plattenbank, Parquet Recordings, Perspectives Digital, to name a few. His productions have entered Beatport’s Top 100 charts several times and has being supported and played by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Paul Van Dyk, Nick Warren, Tony McGuinness, Nicole Moudaber, Eelke Kleijn, and more.
