Rafael Castillo, known as De La Ghetto, is a distinguished figure in Latin music. Born in New York City and raised in Puerto Rico, he draws from a rich blend of cultural influences. Two-time Latin GRAMMY nominee, is a talented singer, songwriter, and composer who seamlessly blends every genre. In 2004, he began his career with the duo Arcangel & De La Ghetto. His solo debut came in 2008 with "Massacre Musical," reaching #46 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. His single “Tu Te Imaginas” hit #33 on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart, cementing his reputation. Over the next decade, De La Ghetto released numerous successful tracks and collaborations, frequently appearing on Billboard's Hot Latin chart. Those include hits like “Acercate” (2016), “La Ocasion” (2016), “La Formula” (2017), and “Dime” (2018). He has worked with top artists garnering over 20 million monthly listeners. In 2019, he earned Latin GRAMMY nominations for “Best Urban Music Album” for "Mi Movimiento" and “Best Urban Song” for "Caliente" featuring J Balvin. His single “Loco Por Perrearte (Remix)” ft. Rauw Alejandro (2022), achieved platinum status. In 2023, De La Ghetto released "GZ," his first album under his own label. The 12-track album has the standout single "My Love" showcasing his innovative style. De La Ghetto's creative approach and dedication to authenticity continue to redefine Latin music, making him a pioneering artist in the industry.
