Aruna Lian – Musician, Composer, Singer & Audio Producer Aruna Lian began his musical journey at Kigaswood College, Kandy, playing guitar, bass, and keyboards. He gained recognition in Sri Lanka’s music scene, performing with top bands and building a reputation as a skilled guitarist. Starting with rock and reggae influences, he later embraced various musical styles. After moving to Europe, Aruna performed with bands across Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Austria, and Scandinavia. He co-founded the renowned Sri Lankan band Jayasri, contributing as a producer, programmer, and multi-instrumentalist. Together, they released two successful albums, Mod Goviya and Sundariye, and opened for reggae legends like Alpha Blondy and Third World. With over 30 years of European experience, Aruna further honed his skills in Audio Engineering and Media Design. Returning to Sri Lanka, he launched his solo career and began composing for films and TV. He has scored music for several Sri Lankan films and telefilms, even playing the lead role in Heart FM. Aruna has also produced songs for icons like Nanda Malini and Amarasiri Peiris, created commercial jingles, and crafted beats for new artists. He continues to collaborate globally, blending Sri Lankan sounds with international influences.
