Multi platinum recording artist and award winning actor Shayne Ward rocketed to fame by winning the UK talent competition The X Factor in 2005. That same year, his debut single, "That's My Goal," went to number one in the U.K. Earning him a Christmas no1. With a smooth, earnest delivery that favour romance, he released three more Top 20 albums before becoming even better known for his portrayal of Aidan Connor on famed television drama Coronation Street, where he stayed from 2015 to 2018 Winning best new comer at the NTA awards. Born Shayne Thomas Ward in Manchester in 1984 to Irish parents ,Ward first performed in blue-collar clubs and bars as a member of the group Destiny for 6 years 2011 A Leading role as Stacee Jaxx in the musical Rock of Ages on the West End. 2014 Arena tour of Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds playing The Artillery man. Ward then continued to focus on acting, earning roles including the lead in the 2019 action film Stairs (aka Black Ops) and 2020's The Ascent. In mid-2020, he also released a cover of "Over the Rainbow" as a fundraiser for the NHS that topped streaming charts. Shayne is the lead in channel 5’s crime drama The Goodship Murder. Where he plays ex detective Jack grayling He’s just completed Season 3 and it will tx in December 2025. Ward has just finished his 20th anniversary tour and has released his brand new single "Through the night" which he co wrote in Nashville. marking his return to the music industry.
