Shanika Madumali

Shanika Madhumali is the winner of Sirasa Super Star Season 3 and the only female winner of 6 seasons held till now. Shanika hasn’t had a childhood on bed of roses, it was quite a struggle. After her father passed away her mother went abroad and she grew up with her grandmother in a small village named Panaliya, near Polgahawela. Shanika attended Polgahawela Parakramabahu college for her education and she was a “not to miss” character in school musical events. Her voice was extra ordinary. She won few certificates while schooling but never had a thought to be a famous star in Sri Lankan music field. Her aunt (young sister of mother) was the one who sent an application for participating Sirasa Super Star. From that it began the journey of a magical voice. Shanika was winning round by round, at the contest of final 100 who selected out of over 100000 participants, Shanika was the shining star because a judge (Amal Perera) said that he wish to see her on grand finale stage. “Winning this title was a dream” said Shanika. From that moment on she is an unique voice in Sri Lankan music field. To this day Shanika has sung more than 50 songs including songs for few movies and she released her first album “Punchi Kude” on 08th June 2013 while Sirasa Super Star Season 5 grand finale.
