Having performed on an international stage in their first ever music festival in Singapore’s Music Matters Live 2018 (MML 2018) alongside talented acts from Asia, USA, Australia and Europe, Gracenote is pumped more than ever to keep their music playing and reach greater heights. While in Singapore, the band debuted their special release for MML 2018 entitled “Here I Go Again” simultaneously across 8 countries in Southeast Asia (Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hongkong, Vietnam and Thailand) – a huge milestone for a Filipino band. Their musical journey has gone a long way from when they first became one of the finalists of Nescafe Soundskool in 2008 and won the DZUP: College Collision in 2009 to present. The single Minsan lang Naman from their first album “First Movement” and songs from their second album “Transparent” which reflect a more electro-pop-rock sound through songs I Will Wait, Taciturn and Two Fourhave made the band familiar to Filipino music fans through their inclusion in local radio stations and music channel’s hit charts. Aside from Gracenote’s original songs, the band also did a rendition of Stevie B.’s song When I Dream About You which reached the #1 spot in Catch 22 - an integrated hit chart of the top three radio stations in the country namely 90.7 Love Radio, 96.3 Easy Rock and 101.1 Yes FM Pilipinas charts. Their rendition was well received by the fans and even Stevie B himself commended the band’s version by personally reaching out to them to express his appreciation. Their hits, awards and growing loyal followers have made Gracenote very grateful, indeed. Moreover, they also consider their collaborations with other artists as one of the major accomplishments throughout their almost one decade in the music industry. They were given the chance to work with their friends that have inspired them in the music industry – Bilog (featuring Ms. Yeng Constantino), Gusto Ko (with Alexa Ilacad) and the most recent with Chito Miranda, vocalist of the legendary band Parokya ni Edgar through the song Bakit Ganyan Ka?. From its debut, the music video had a total views of more than 800,000 in less than 24 hours and now reaching over 4 million views! It has also gone viral on Spotify’s Philippines Viral 50 and hit on the 3rd spot. The song was tagged as the newest Original Philippine Music Love Anthem as mentioned in When in Manila blog site. Being part of the prestigious lineup of the first ever Coke Studio PH gave the band great honor as well. They worked with the flip-top artist Abra to produce the song Stargazer which was well-received by both alternative and rap fans – visibly as their Coke Studio episode reached a total of 2.5 million views on Youtube. With their energetic performances, Gracenote continues to captivate their audiences through live and online performances. Pouring their hearts out on every composition, song, and performance, Gracenote has surely made their mark among fans and music critics alike.
