MAJK (Kastriot Rexha), born in Prishtina, Kosovo, is a pillar of modern Albanian hip-hop. He began rapping in high school, teaming with Onat as TDS and releasing underground projects 17 Arsye (2009) and Hello (2013).
Going solo in 2015, he joined the Babastars crew and exploded with “Sjena Mo” (ft. Ghetto Geasy). That anthem—plus follow-ups “Dashni” and “Ajo”—racked up tens of millions of views and established his melodic sing-rap style over beats.
Since 2019 he’s kept charts hot with “Pasha Jetën,” “Malena,” “Krejt ti Fala,” 2024’s club smash “Temelin,” and 2025’s duet “Edhe 1 Natë.” In 2025 he also reunited with longtime collaborator Capital T for the summer single “SONTE,” cementing their status as one of Albanian rap’s most reliable pairings.
Lyric-wise MAJK blends Prishtina slang with standard Albanian, weaving heartbreak and swagger over sleek productions. His sound continues to influence the new Kosovar/Albanian wave.
With twenty years on the mic, hundreds of millions of streams, and a catalogue that still fills diaspora clubs from Zurich to New York, MAJK remains a cornerstone of Albanian rap culture.
