Carpotxa is a Mozambican DJ and music producer based in Lisbon, Portugal, and recognized today as one of the most promising talents in the Afro-House and Afro-Tech scenes. Known for his creativity and distinct sound, Carpotxa first made waves as part of the Afrikan Drums group, where he contributed to standout tracks such as Comitin Dedo, Toca Dj and Ba Fala. These tracks shaped the Afro-House landscape and opened doors for new sounds and directions within the genre. Tracks like “ Comitin Dedo ” achieved remarkable success, topping charts in Panama, while “Ba Fala” became a reference track in Guinea-Bissau, establishing Carpotxa as one of the key figures pushing the Afro-House genre forward. His productions capture the essence and energy of African music, blending traditional influences with modern electronic rhythms to create sounds that are both authentic and globally relevant. His reputation grew further after contributing to the production of Mood by KeBlack, a track that achieved Platinum, Gold, and Diamond certifications in France. This milestone solidified Carpotxa’s status as a rising producer with an international footprint. Carpotxa is expanding his reach through collaborations with notable names in Afro-House, Afro-Tech, and Afro-Beats, such as CAMPIRA, Danni Gato, and others. He continues to innovate, shaping new rhythms and crafting fresh vibes while staying rooted in the authenticity of African sound. Signed to Luna Records, under the umbrella of Mad Solutions.
