Emil is the creative force behind the artist project ay-Mill, an electronic music producer from northern Sweden. Raised among vast, quiet landscapes, he found early inspiration in the melodies and storytelling of pop icons such as Michael Jackson and Bon Jovi. A pivotal encounter with the music of German dance legend Scooter later sparked his passion for electronic dance music and club culture.
Driven to transform inspiration into craft, Emil spent countless hours shaping his sound in a bedroom studio before continuing his musical journey at Musikhögskolan in Piteå, where he expanded his skills in composition and production, while also DJing locally in Piteå.
His music is centered around a strong melodic identity, combining pop-influenced songwriting with dance-pop energy and a wide spectrum of electronic styles. In the studio, Emil focuses on groove, detailed ear-candy, and subtle human elements, crafting tracks that feel both polished and alive.
With over 42 million Spotify streams, Emil’s music has connected with listeners worldwide and earned support from leading DJs including David Guetta, Timmy Trumpet, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Fedde Le Grand, R3HAB, Nicky Romero, Lost Frequencies, and Sam Feldt. His releases have also received repeated praise from the blog EDM Reviewers.
