He was born and raised in Moratuwa, Colombo, and his love for music began at a young age. His passion for creating music led him to become a rapper, producer, vocalist, and beat-maker. With his unique sound, CHU BBY has gained popularity and recognition in the music industry. His music is characterized by his baritone voice, nostalgic samples, hard-hitting beats, and catchy vocal melodies. He has managed to capture the hearts of Sri Lankan listeners both local and overseas with his music. CHU BBY's music videos are simple yet complex, shot in both in Sri Lanka. He has attracted the attention of many who previously disliked the genre and turned heads of thousands to enjoy a much more experimental and dignified form of Sinhala Hip Hop/Rap Music. To date, CHU BBY has released two albums and has collaborated with artists, beatmakers, and producers from all over the world. His dedication and hard work have made him a household name in the Sri Lankan music industry, and he continues to inspire and influence the younger generation of artists.
