Beatrice Berrut
Beatrice Berrut is a Swiss pianist and composer whose work moves freely between the concert hall and the recording studio — from Mahler transcriptions performed at the Wigmore Hall and Konzerthaus Vienna, to original electronic pop compositions that draw on the atmospheres of Kate Bush, Portishead and Agnès Obel. Described by the Irish Times as "an artist who reveals herself quietly in multiple layers of genius and beauty", she has performed as soloist with orchestras including the English Chamber Orchestra and Copenhagen Phil, and released a critically acclaimed discography on La Dolce Volta. Her piano paraphrase of Schoenberg's Verklärte Nacht — praised by the composer's own son — has become a sought-after work in the pianistic repertoire. She is Composer-in-Residence at the Opéra de Tours for 2026 and 2027, and laureate of the Prix Rünzi 2025. In parallel, she has been developing a new body of work as a composer and vocalist in the electronic space — her debut single The Doll is out now on all platforms. In July 2026, she will perform alongside Skye Edwards of Morcheeba in two shows marking a new chapter in her artistic journey. This channel is home to both worlds.
