North London’s J P Rose is a genre-blurring artist/producer who paints sound
with truth. Blending elements of R&B, lo-fi hip-hop, and soul, J P invites careful listening marked by

First known for producing records for Sainté, Obongjayar, Bina and frequent collaborators Feux and
RUBII, the work behind the boards became the foundation for something deeper. J P Rose’s
breakthrough came with his feature on RUBII’s standout track “Riot,
” a warm, bass-heavy bounce that
anchors her acclaimed EP Olive Green where he executive produced in full. With “Riot” now surpassing 4
million streams, the producer has marked his shift from collaborator to artist.
By incorporating a producer’s precision and a poet’s heart to his own creation, J P Rose captures hearts
