Vienna Boys' Choir
Founded in 1498 by Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I as choir to the Habsburg court. Today, Campus Augarten consists of a primary school for boys and girls, a junior and a senior high school. In addition to the four touring boys' choirs which all perform as Vienna Boys Choir, we maintain a training choir for boys and girls known as Chorus Primus, a girls' choir known as Wiener Chormädchen, and a mixed youth choir known as Chorus Juventus. Our choral training and tradition has been listed as cultural heritage by UNESCO. The artistic director is Professor Gerald Wirth.
