Joakim Molitor of the best-kept secrets in the Swedish crossover electronic dance music/pop scene keeps evolving and giving us his very best whether as an original artist/producer or as a remixer/producer for others (The Rasmus, Andreas Moe, Feenixpawl, Eric Saade, Dragonette, John De Sohn, Sebjak, Julia Bergwall etc). Molitor got his first big breakthrough on an international level with the single ”Morning Sun”, a joint release with rising UK-produced Corey James. A truly melodic and powerful progressive house tune that climbed to the Top 20 of the Beatport chart instantly and simultaneously hitting the top 10 of the Spotify Viral Top 50. It caught the attention of the EDM scene, and the single received strong support from the likes of Tom Swoon, Max Vangeli and Third Party.
He followed up with ”Hero” and teamed up with former Stockholm Syndrome member Cornelia Jacobs for the ”Lovers On Film” single. Seizing the opportunity to reinvent himself last year, he managed to keep the strong melodic side of him, take down the pace a few knots and put more emphasis on complete songs, more traditional pop structures and drops to die for.
Recently Molitor has been working together with new artist Maia Wright who comes from the same management that gave us Clara Mae and Violet Days having written huge successful crossover hits for the likes of KREAM and The Chainsmokers. That resulted is the singles “Always Gonna Say Sorry” as well as “Weightless” that set things off on playlists worldwide. This was followed by “4U” featuring the established UK pop starlet Cher Lloyd, and the latest single “Back To You” came to life in collaboration with creative powerhouse TEN out of Stockholm, the home of acts such as Zara Larsson, Icona Pop, Benjamin Ingrosso etc.
