Aubrey Drake Graham is a Canadian rapper, singer, and actor. He is credited with popularizing R&B sensibilities in hip-hop music through rap-singing. Drake first gained recognition as Jimmy Brooks in the CTV teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation and began his music career by independently releasing the mixtapes Room for Improvement, Comeback Season, and So Far Gone before signing with Young Money Entertainment.
Drake's debut album, Thank Me Later, debuted atop the Billboard 200. All of his subsequent studio albums—including Take Care, Nothing Was the Same, Scorpion, Honestly, Nevermind and For All the Dogs —also reached number one in the US. His fourth album, Views, led the Billboard 200 for 13 weeks and his sixth album Certified Lover Boy set the then-record for most US top-ten songs from one album.
