WHOiSEE (Brett Hopkin), formerly known as Madhatter!, is an electronic music producer from Austin, TX, originally from San Antonio. Brett’s journey started with classical training in saxophone and guitar before discovering electronic music in 2012. A life-changing Skrillex show inspired him to dive into music production, eventually leading him to study Sound Recording Technology at Texas State University. As Madhatter!, Brett spent years honing his craft and learning the music industry, but by 2016, he decided to leave college to focus on his music career. Despite facing challenges balancing life and music, Madhatter! began to mature and gain traction. After getting married to his wife Nicole along with some other big life changes, Brett needed a fresh start. With over 10 years in the music industry under his belt, he started the WHOiSEE project in January of 2023. With renewed focus and professional experience, WHOiSEE quickly gained attention, landing releases with Subsidia Records, Dim Mak Records, SubCarbon Records, Circus Records and Dirtysnatcha Records. He’s collaborated with artists like Flowdan, Josh Rubin, and Shaolin G. “I believe there is beauty, depth, and purpose to everyone in the world. The purpose of this project is to celebrate life through bass music, and for you to see ‘who I see’ when you look in the mirror.” - Brett
