Gifted & Blessed, aka GB, Frankie Reyes, The Abstract Eye, and several other pseudonyms, is a recording artist and music producer of a wide variety of styles, best known for his work with Stones Throw Records. It's impossible to categorize him by a single musical genre, and he's remained relatively reclusive throughout his long and productive career dating back to his first releases as a teenager in the early 2000s. He's had a hand in many musical movements, from playing a part in helping establish the Los Angeles beat music scene to his role in the further development of electronic soul, broken beat, house, techno, and electro. He is also recognized for his synthesized ambient soundscapes and electronic interpretations of boleros and other Latin American and traditional ethnic sounds from around the world. He has been known for having an affinity for analog electronics but is not limited in the tools he uses for his creations. One never knows what to expect next from Gifted & Blessed, other than that he always remains fresh, ahead of the curve, and uniquely himself in all his expressions.
