Ansh Chahal

The music industry thrives on stories of artists who defy expectations, but few narratives are as compelling as that of Ansh Chahal. At just 19, this Australian-Punjabi singer-songwriter is making his mark in the competitive global music scene by mixing his dual heritage with a distinctive artistic voice. With his debut single, "Nain Tere," Ansh has arrived on the stage with confidence and a vision far beyond his years. He grew up in Australia to Punjabi parents, Ansh Chahal grew up straddling two worlds. At home he was surrounded by the rhythm, and emotion of Punjabi music, outside he soaked in Western sounds, and he learned to blend them in a way that felt authentically Ansh. Although he began writing songs at 12, it was the tragic loss of one of his idols, Sidhu Moose Wala, that snapped everything into focus, pushing Ansh to embrace the Punjabi language and musical traditions with newfound seriousness. What began as a side project - writing Punjabi lyrics for fun - soon became his passion. Even though he is still in his teens, Ansh is wise enough to not fall into the trend of chasing momentary clout; he is rather focused on something far more valuable: longevity. He credits artists like Karan Aujla, Diljit Dosanjh, and Sidhu Moose Wala for inspiring him, not just musically but in how they’ve built their careers with purpose. “My dream is to make something timeless,” he states. “If I’m not taking risks, then what’s the point?”
