Janaka Shamal (born February 05, 1997), known professionally as DJ JNK, is a Sri Lankan music producer, remixer, rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, video director, editor and audio engineer. Currently, he is studying at University of Moratuwa as a Computer Science and Engineering student. He is the Founder and CEO his own record label/production DJ JNK. DJ JNK began his career with his own remixing crew namely X-Mashes back in 2010. While he was studying at the university, he followed courses in audio engineering and music production. This laid the foundation to commence his career to produce and mix master electronic music. He has his own studio with all recording facilities and capable of producing any kind of music genres. He is popular in the Hip Hop/Folk and RnB community.
