Wildly diverse, infused with exuberance and inspired by a slap of the absurd, Modeselektors inarguable grooves seem to emanate from every conceivable musical genre, creating a controlled chaos whose sonic expression elevates the eyebrows of critics and the heartbeats of dance foors around the world. Even though the duo has been busy producing and touring with Moderat in the past years, they have never lost their passion to play records. Being able to switch from live performances in concert halls back to DJ Sets with pure club vibes, has since their beginning been one of their major qualities. Breaking the boundaries of the usual: most certainly a phrase that many artists would like to claim for themselves today. However Modeselektors description as such does not come as an afterthought or marketing ploy. The idea of going out of the ordinary permeates their music because this dissolution of cultural borders is ingrained in their very identities. After two decades on the international music scene, they have achieved an incredible technical routine but have never lost the curiosity to still go further and discover new ways of shaping the dance foors with their sound.
