Referred to in the media as the "Rai is King", he is known as a versatile singer in the Nepali music industry. He has done playback singing for more than Five hundred Nepali movies. In addition, he has recorded several private albums such as Darshan Namaste, Rai is King, Syamuna ,Timi Nahuda,Kamana,Jadau,Jadau2,Jadau-3,Darshan Namaste 2,3,4,5 Murchana,Murchana-2 ,Purwa Ma Rang Chadhech,Just For You etc. He has sung Japanese,English,Newari,Limbu,29 Languages Of Kirat Rai ,Assamese,Hindi ,Maithili and Bhojpuri songs as well. He performed on a world wide tour (Usa,Canada,Australia,New Zealand,Nigeria,Japan,South Korea,France,Portugal,Belgium,Italy,Switzerland,Germany,U.K.,Hong Kong,Singapore,Thailand,,Israel,India,Bhutan,Denmark,Autria,Qatar,Baharain,UaE,Jordan,Kuwait,Malaysia,Brunei,) and won several music awards from 1995-2019..He also participated in Melancholy, an environmental song conceptualized, written, composed and directed by Environmentalist performed by 365 Nepali artists setting the Guinness World Records.[
