The budding 26 year old, Sherese Chisholm was raised in Morant Bay, St. Thomas. It was her grandmother who gave her the nickname “Peachy” because “chubbiness” when she was younger; a sign of love and endearment. She decided to use it professionally, altering her nickname slightly and taking on the moniker Peaches. Inspired by an eclectic array of artists, Michael Jackson, Usher, Tanya Stephens and Tarrus Riley; their soulful sound became her friend and company and formed the basis of her passion in music. “Music enhances my life”, she emphatically describes and in 2016 she began to embark on a career that would shape her world forever. “I’ve always been in and around music. In 2021 I started officially, grafting hard and putting myself at the forefront as an artist”. The journey was not easy but she is honing her skills and continues to accomplish her unique sound; standing out among her peers.
