Loona rose to prominence in 1996 alongside DJ Sammy with the singles “Life is Just a Game” and “You Are My Angel.” Her breakthrough followed in 1998 with the global summer hit “Bailando,” cementing her place in European pop. Shortly after, “Hijo de la Luna” became another major success, while “Mamboleo” (1999) was awarded an Echo as “Best Dance Single.” In 2001, Loona reached number 1 in Spain with “Viva El Amor,” followed by further releases like “Sunlight” (2002) and “Boys of Summer” (2003). After a short break in 2005, she returned in 2008 as a judge on “Popstars” and released “Parappapa.” Her 2010 version of “Vamos a la Playa” became one of her biggest digital successes, reaching over 150 million views on YouTube and earning multiple Gold and Platinum certifications worldwide. In 2020, she released the album “Stars,” revisiting her biggest hits in a modern sound. In 2022, LOONA won the German TV show “Kampf der Reality Stars,” which sparked renewed attention and led to a new version of “Life is Just a Game.” In 2023, she celebrated 25 years in the industry with several releases, including “Dreams (Are My Reality),” a viral “Bailando” remake with Jerome & DJ Sammy, and “VAMOS” with FiNCH, which surpassed 40 million streams. In 2026, LOONA will play her first ever headline show in Oberhausen. The two-hour show “BACK IN TIME” will feature her biggest hits as well as songs she has never performed live before.
