Known by his stage name "GAWNE", Luke Gawne is a 28-year-old rapper who is recognized for his high level of technical skill & his astonishing ability to rap at speed while remaining clear and coherent.
13 years ago, Luke suffered a debilitating brain injury that still affects his cognitive function to this day. At the time, he was forced to pull out of high school and study from home. Unable to read or watch TV due to visual issues stemming from the injury; he began to utilize music as his source of therapy. Luke soon found a passion for hip-hop & rap and began channeling his pain and frustration into writing. From here, Luke was eventually inspired to start writing his own music.
Against all odds, Luke made it his mission to prove to people that he can make his mark on the rap scene - despite the heavy setbacks.
Luke remarkably graduated at the top of his class from the prestigious University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with honors in Accounting & Marketing and has since been showcasing his talents online where he has built a significant fanbase.
Luke's utmost goal is to carve out a long, successful career in the rap industry. The career has been a self-developmental journey for Luke since the very beginning and his passion for competitive MC'ing only grows by the day.
