Abel Gabriel, formerly known as Afro Fox, is a DJ and Afro House producer born in Mozambique. With a remarkable trajectory in the music scene, Abel has built a career that has taken him to perform in various parts of the world, always promoting the essence and energy of African music.
During the early stage of his career, still under the name Afro Fox, Abel was part of the group Afrikan Drums, a collaboration that propelled him to international stages. Through this project, he had the opportunity to bring his music to countries like Panama, Guinea-Bissau, Gambia, and Portugal, solidifying his reputation as one of the emerging talents in Afro House.
However, Abel Gabriel decided to take a new artistic and personal direction, adopting the name MAZULU. With this new identity, he not only changed his name but also redefined his sound and visual image, evolving beyond the work he developed with Afrikan Drums. MAZULU represents a new creative phase, where he explores new musical textures and brings a more experimental approach to Afro House, maintaining his African authenticity but now with a modern and personal touch.
With this transformation, MAZULU continues his musical journey with a renewed vision, committed to presenting new sounds and expanding the boundaries of Afro House, influencing the landscape of African electronic music on a global level.
