hongjoin is an up and coming artist that fell in love with the idea of putting melody into the words that we lack the courage to say in real life. Though a singer-songwriter at heart, he took to producing his tracks on his own in order to make his music come into life in the most authentic way possible, as it was imagined on pen and paper. Starting off on YouTube covering the artists that inspire him today, hongjoin has now embraced the sounds that he grew up listening to and turned it into his own. Influenced by the production techniques of Charlie Burg and Jeremy Zucker, hongjoin’s songwriting is also heavily inspired by bands like VALLEY and The Beatles. His heartfelt and genuine lyricism often revolve the motif of being vulnerable and honest with ourselves, and how sometimes it is okay even when life does not give you an answer!
