When heavy metal exploded in the early 1980s, one star shone brighter than most—DORO Pesch, the “Metal Queen.” Her journey began in 1983 with WARLOCK’s debut Burning the Witches, showcasing her powerful voice and commanding presence. In 1986, DORO made history as the first woman to perform at the legendary Monsters of Rock festival, securing her cult status. For over four decades, DORO has been a relentless force in metal, touring with icons like Judas Priest, Dio, Megadeth, Motörhead, Scorpions, and Alice Cooper, and releasing acclaimed albums such as Triumph and Agony, Calling the Wild (featuring Lemmy Kilmister), and Raise Your Fist. Despite changing trends, she stayed true to her roots, evolving her sound while honoring metal’s spirit. With over 10 million records sold, 3,500+ shows in 60+ countries, and countless awards—including the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award—DORO remains an icon. In 2023, she marked her 40th anniversary with Conqueress – Forever Strong and Proud, a powerful album featuring Rob Halford and packed with epic anthems and heartfelt ballads.
