Legendary Lithuanian rock band "Requiem" was founded by Tomas Krivickas in 1994 in Ukmergė and quickly gained popularity across Lithuania.
In 1998, under LNK Records, "Requiem" recorded and released their debut album, "Niekam nežinomi žmonės" ("People Unknown to Anyone"). The following year, in 1999, LRT recorded and released their second live album, "Tavo zona" ("Your Zone"). The band reached peak popularity in 1999 after releasing the hit single "Aš nupirksiu tau namą" ("I Will Buy You a House").
At the height of their career, "Requiem" won "Best Rock Band" at the Bravo Awards in 1999 and the Radiocentras Music Awards in 2001.
Following a creative hiatus beginning in 2011, the band returned in 2019 with Tomas Krivickas and a new lineup, performing at festivals like "Rockmergė 2019" and "Rockmergė 2020." These performances marked the beginning of "Requiem's" revival. In 2022, the band released three singles, "Didvyris" ("Hero"), "Beržas" ("Birch Tree"), and "Žiemos pasaka" ("Winter Tale"), followed by the album "Karas ir Taika" ("War and Peace").
In the years since, "Requiem" has continued to release new music and perform frequently across Lithuania. In 2024, the band celebrated their 30th anniversary with a major event and is now looking forward to an exciting musical future.
