Ram Dass Khalsa (known professionally as Ram Dass) experiences music as emotionally restorative, with a focus on honesty, nuance, and human depth. As a producer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter, he works through collaboration and improvisation to create music that carries the weight and beauty of lived experience. His dedication to translating moments of joy, loss, and transformation has shaped a career spanning performance, production, and recording across many traditions. Ram Dass has performed at the 2019 GRAMMY Awards with Snatam Kaur, at Carnegie Hall with the Young People’s Symphony Orchestra, and on stages throughout North America, Europe, and South America. His work includes collaborations with AWARÉ, Snatam Kaur, Jahnavi Harrison, Ajeet, Tina Malia, Peter Yarrow, Guster, and others. His recordings include The Heart and The Matter, And Now He Has Wings, The Water Poem, and The Unimaginable. His earlier collaboration From Within, with Matthew Schoening and Nirinjan Kaur, premiered at #1 on the Apple New Age Music charts. Alongside his work as an artist, he serves as a producer and engineer and works in label administration with Spirit Voyage Records. He is a voting member of the Recording Academy. More at:
