KARAN! is the project of Brazilian DJ and producer Sérgio Júnior, an artist who has been consolidating Favela Bass as his own language within Brazilian electronic music. Active since 2019, his sound is rooted in funk and mandelão, gains strength through bass music, and is designed for the clubs, impact, and identity. With over 1 million streams across platforms, KARAN! has released music through labels such as Warner Music, Sony Music, Deadbeats, Sable Valley, and Monstercat, and has received support from artists like Skrillex, Noisia, Boys Noize, RL Grime, Four Tet, Tropkillaz, Dennis DJ, and many others. His work has also been featured on globally respected radio stations such as Triple J, NTS Radio, and Rinse France, reinforcing his international reach and cultural relevance. The artist has also taken Brazilian music to the world, touring in Japan, India, Myanmar, and Thailand — representing Brazil on a global stage and presenting Favela Bass as a Brazilian sound that is aggressive, futuristic, and connected to emerging scenes.
