Known for their engaging live performances and spellbinding harmonies, Grammy-nominated indie-pop band Lucius are a mesmerizing experience of mirrored kinship and honesty. In 2025, the band released their fourth studio album, 'LUCIUS', which Rolling Stone called “the best album of their career.” Their most personal and purposeful album to date explores relationships, motherhood, and life’s complexities with a vulnerability made possible by the band’s familial nature. The New Yorker praises, “The band’s new self-titled album reaches the pinnacle of a vibrant, harmonic enterprise,” while Paste describes their sound as “girl-group revivalism, cosmic pop, and a kind of bicoastal harmonizing that once echoed through western canyons.” The arc of their catalog is one of confident evolution. Their debut, Wildewoman, announced a singular voice — dual lead vocals wrapped in retro charm, which NPR deemed “perfect, magnetic pop music” and The Guardian praised for harmonies “melding beautifully.” 'Good Grief' introduced a sleeker, synth-driven palette, while 'Second Nature' — produced by Brandi Carlile and Dave Cobb — arrived as a full flowering: the Los Angeles Times celebrated its “lush synths and sleek disco grooves under the women’s laser-guided vocals.” Beyond their own work, Wolfe and Laessig have collaborated with Joni Mitchell, Ozzy Osbourne, and Brandi Carlile — each pairing a testament to the rare, transportive quality they’ve built together.
