In addition to full-scale production, they now supply producers worldwide with original loop kits and drum kits — bringing their signature Bay sound straight into studios everywhere. Formed in 2000, their name reflects 4rAx’s family trade and Kenny Tweed’s love for exotic cars. 4rAx honed his skills touring with Digital Underground and Luniz under the mentorship of Shock-G, while Kenny Tweed mastered hardware, software, and sonic innovation to fuel their collective creativity. With over 500 million streams and counting, The Mekanix continue to bridge generations and cities — from Mozzy to Kamaiyah, DaBoii to Iamsu — while building an unstoppable legacy that spans records, sounds, and the raw tools of the next era.
