Rhode Island based artist, TY Falcoa, is all about utilizing contradictions in music. Marrying sad themes with upbeat instrumentation and metaphorical lyrics with catchy melodies, he has set out to break the boundaries of what gets to be ‘heard’ by the masses. His voice may sound familiar, formerly known for posting covers and originals with his brother on their YouTube channel - ‘Tyler & Ryan’. With over 150,000 subscribers, the brother duo gained worldwide recognition from many of the industry’s most respected names including Ryan Seacrest, Simon Cowell, Liam Payne and Charlie Puth. With his covers in the past, TY is making a name for himself primarily as a producer and songwriter. Since 2020, TY has written songs for Amazon, NYX Cosmetics and Freeform, as well as his extensive list of independent artists he works alongside every day. Alongside co-artist Nikita Afonso, a Canadian singer/songwriter, the two won Song of The Year at the 2021 International Portuguese Music Awards for their single 'I Don’t Think I’m Doing This Right'. In 2022, the song climbed the charts to #1 on aBreak Music, one of the most prominent Indie Radio stations in the world. From primarily releasing covers as 'Tyler and Ryan', to hitting #1 on international charts, it’s clear that TY’s career is moving in an upward trajectory, with no plans on slowing down; he has a lot to say and plans on continuing to create his own unique style while holding a safe space for necessary conversations.
