STEEL, real name Alexander Stahl, immersed himself in electronic dance music in 2010 at the age of 16, quickly establishing himself as a DJ in clubs and discotheques around his hometown of Herne, Germany. In 2024, when Taylor Swift performed three shows in Gelsenkirchen, STEEL energized the fans in Taylortown before her show, even earning a feature on the Tagesschau. His songs and remixes have garnered attention from major radio stations like 1LIVE and TV channels like RTLZWEI. After multiple successful releases on the prestigious German dance label Kontor Records, he reached another milestone in 2025 with the release of Waterfalls, a collaboration with Australian rising star GRATIFY and British singer Amanda Wilson (Seek Bromance by Avicii) on the major label Intercord Records (formerly Virgin Records) via Universal. Prior to that, he had already worked with artists such as Felix Harrer and DJ Sammy. For the 2026 World Cup, STEEL joined forces with British 90s legends Right Said Fred (I'm Too Sexy) to re-record their iconic anthem Stand Up (For the Champions). With over 50 million streams – more than 19 million of which come from his hit Stand by Me on Spotify alone – STEEL has established himself as a name known well beyond Germany. As a passionate guitarist and pianist, he knows what truly defines high-quality music. Rather than limiting himself to a single genre, he embraces and celebrates the diversity of electronic music.
